May Your Courage Run Strong

May your courage run strong, even in the crumbling desolation of our world.

May your art run like rivers in your veins, overflowing to those around you.

May your every fear be defeated as you choose to love anyway!

May you be blessed living in the light, taking back the night.

You know what to do. Yes, you do.

Every human heart longs for the flow of both peace and strength

so we can fill our wings

refusing our own rubble

completely overwhelming

the weakened ruins

of our world.

And then,

and then my friend

we will see the changes we need,

our rivers together

so glorious.

Protect your heart

until then.

Choosing instead the spark she rekindled

he carried the healing wherever he went,

refusing the minuscule, hapless help

of tin soldiers marching

along white picket fences,

he was bolder now.

He decided they needed the help of the heavenly warriors, more pure

than false promises

and false visions of paradise.

So he simply embraced her

whenever she was down

whenever she was afraid.

And he prayed for the sound of wings

to cover them…..

once again.
