Happy New Year!

20170703_214655

Happy New Year everyone! No I’ve not had too much eggnog!

Ok, I admit it, it’s not really the New Year quite yet, but I’m taking a little break, and it will be 2019 soon!

And this is a good time to say thank you for a wonderful year. So thank you!

I realize my work is not as popular as it once was, but I’m still having a great time. I love writing even though I don’t make any money from it!

On my break I’ll be spending time with family, and working on my novel that I’ve mentioned before.

I’ve learned and grown this past year so I’m redirecting the novel, just slightly to reflect that.

I need to recharge, and I’m beginning a new exercise program! I want look good for my honey, who I refer to as My Love!

I have scheduled a few posts until I return.

My wife and I wish you a healthy, happy 2019, great peace, and wonderful blessings!!!

Riding the Wind

20171126_134538

Hey you know what? I’m having a great time writing, so thank you so much for being along for the ride!

This blog wouldn’t be any fun if it wasn’t for you! So thank you once again for your love and support.

I really love the diversity that can be found here. There are so many countries and ethnic groups that can be found. Awesome!

And I love where my work is right now, and I’m excited about where it’s going. “Coyote” and “Purple Dawn” were a bit of a breakthrough for me.

And I love your work! So let’s ride the wind together. Thanks again.

A Very Special Thank You

20180707_155444

This is a very special thank you because you are a very special group of readers, thank you!

And thank you to all those across the planet, that have been praying for and thinking some positive thoughts for my wife. The mass in her chest (inside her, not on her chest) is actually smaller now, due to treatment. Yay!!

We are in a waiting phase now, for maybe a month or two, to see how it looks through special scans. Then another decision will be made as to whether or not more treatments are needed.

We are so grateful for all of our friends here and for your prayers!!

We wish you peace.

My Words Seek a Path Not Hidden

20160709_140207

As if in a thick forest my words

seek a path not hidden.

Well it seems as if my site has been compromised again. Yes, we are in a summer lull, but this is different.

So, I had to make a decision today. Do I post once a month? Once a week? Do I go the opposite way, and blast 5 posts out in a single day? Nah! I will say that the less I am here, the more my site becomes an easy target.

So why am I still here? To be honest I believe in my work, I really do. And I want to see it do well. I ask for nothing in return, I make no money, I ask for no sponsors. I love to write, and I love to read your work, that’s why I’m here.

And I do get wonderfully encouraged. A blogging friend recently said I should, “share my gift.” That really makes my day! The strange thing is I had been thinking about writing more often. Many of you feel comfortable interacting with me through comments, and that is very special.

So, I don’t want to end this blog, or my faith based blog, Walking through Psalms, which is also limping along. And no, I’m not just looking at stats.

I have some ideas for moving forward, and one idea I have for now, is to share some of my older work with you. Did you know that for awhile I was posting twice a day, and I wrote fiction? There are more than 2,100 posts on this site!

And maybe I’ll throw in a quote once in a while, or an update about my wife and I. Let me know what you think. I’m seeking your input.

To all my readers thank you for reading and for your wonderful support!

Peace.

A Poem from the Hospital

20170503_164154

You always did give me light, from far away

as if the earth had not yet

discovered the light of love,

and yet your seasoning

as a warrior, seems

to overwhelm us

both at times,

and I can’t stand

to see your bed empty,

shedding your shadow

even though

you’re just down in X-ray.

Note: My wife is in the hospital right now with several health issues, none of them small, and all of them very difficult.

She is the bravest person I have ever met.

We would appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

P.S. I will probably post from my archives this week.
