Christmas Dance

So often we move, and live in between the beauty of this season,

and the brutality we don’t want to see in our world,

may we learn how to dance, and to love anyway

accepting who we are, choosing to believe

in that hope we know still exists, filled

with dances of light

as we move forward

twirling,

each of us a graceful ballet

of love and new life.

Amen.

Merry Christmas everyone!

May Light Shape Our Words

A poem will often carry my spirit into the mountains

where I hover

and pray over the land.

I did get glimpse once

of the healing so elusive

in our world today.

May rays of light continue

to shape our words

into prayers,

into poems

until the scars

vanish away.

The Wind I Know

The wind I know never leaves this Earth, moving

teaching the mighty oaks to bend, or caressing

the most gentle of all flowers, once

I saw the mountain wind make a man cry,

with his prayers carried throughout the Earth

his broken heart beginning to mend

the wind announced his need in Singapore

and rain fell washing him,

the wind can do all that,

have you seen the wind move?

Wholeness

Life from the earth once frozen reinforces we are loved,

yet I wonder, isn’t there redemption

in each season? a way

for us to discover who

we really are, and

who we were always

meant to be, to find

that place, that space of the heart

that speaks

of wholeness

that we’ve always dreamed about,

and have always needed.

More than Enough

Shifting winds blew through her long hair,

as she walked through the park

trying to make sense of it all, she couldn’t

and it didn’t, none of it made sense

all that she had been through,

yet spring was here,

and cherry blossoms roared within her heart

she knew hope,

was not far away, and she decided

that was enough for her,

it was more than enough

as the wind tossed

cherry blossoms into her hair.
