The Most Amazing Person on the Planet

After all these years I’m still here blogging! Thank you everyone for reading and for your wonderful comments! I’m truly grateful.

If you’re new here, all are welcome regardless of your background, race, country of origin, your identity, your preferences or your faith. If you have no faith, I hope you will feel welcome here too! We all have a lot in common.

For those of you that are new here, I have just a few notes to share. My wife and I are older. Notice I did not say old! Just older.

As much as I love writing and blogging, the love of my life, the one I call “My Love” is the most amazing person on the planet and she is the one I want to be with. Due to the pandemic we like to go to the park together. And we pick up food and go outside to eat.

And because of our age we unfortunately need to go to the doctor sometimes. For example, I recently took her for her chemo treatment. And I get treatments for chronic pain.

So, I said all this because I do not blog from my phone anymore. I needed to “unhook” that part of technology. And I might be busy at the doctor’s or being in love or both. So please be patient with me in responding to your messages, seeing your posts, and visiting your site you asked me to check out for the first time.

Thank you again for being here!

Peace.

Notations Part II

I so appreciate your comments! I am encouraged on a constant basis. Thank you! If you don’t receive a reply right away it’s because I don’t blog with my phone anymore.

I tried 2 different experiments this week. One was to write something a little bizarre, but in a good way. “Time Traveler” was fun for me and I wanted to shake things up a bit. I will be doing more of these!

The other experiment was that I posted everyday, Monday-Friday even if it wasn’t new. It was not as difficult as I thought it might be. How some of you can post 4-5 times a day though is amazing!

We have a lot of doctor visits and my wife and I enjoy the company of each other, so I will be cutting back some. Besides it’s summer now! And the pandemic is hopefully, prayerfully winding down here.

Thank you so much for reading!

Peace.

Notations

Our cherry tree is blossoming again, so for us spring is officially here! The vaccines are here too, so we can finally begin to move forward, even if it is slower than we would like.

I thought it would be a good time to mention a few things about my blog. Such as, I normally post Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with some on the weekends. However I’ve been adding a little more here and there simply because.

I once again want to say, all are welcomed here, regardless of your background, race, country of origin etc. except for bullies. No bullies are allowed here!

I don’t approve linking or “links” to my posts. I’ve had terrible technical difficulty with my faith based site, “Walking through Psalms” and I believe it is related to my approving these things in the past.

I don’t do awards anymore, I simply do not have the time to participate. They are fun though.

My wife and I are older, yet very much in love. A lot of shenanigans can take place in blogging. I avoid that as much as I can.

One time years ago a young woman sent me emails to flirt with me, and she included pictures! Fortunately I recognized it immediately for what it was – malicious. She was being malicious.

I could write a lot more today but I’ve decided it can all wait……..except for one thing.

Thank you for reading!

Wishing you peace.

My 3rd Biggest Blogging Secret

100_1487

Life is an adventure! And one of the best ways to express the love and beauty of this adventure, is through photographs.

I almost always use my own photographs and this is another blogging secret of mine. I love photography!

I have a great number of photos and it saves me a HUGE amount of time, to plant one into a post rather than searching

the internet. I use to search for photos and it took me forever to find the right one! So no more.

And sometimes I’ll write a poem, and already be thinking about the photograph to plug in.

If you missed my first 2 blogging secrets, the first was to invest in other bloggers and their sites.

It takes work but it’s well worth it! And #2 was to be hopeful and encouraging!

By the way I need a new camera, so if you have any suggestions, let me know.

Have a great time blogging!

Words Spoken

20190427_101626

Well I received a notice the other day from wordpress saying I’ve been blogging for 5 years!!

Thank you again for all of your wonderful support here. I wish I could follow each one of you.

I don’t write out of some psychological need, and I certainly don’t write here to make money! Although it would be nice to have some books to sell.

I write simply because the words live within me. They simply flow.

Here’s a poem for today:

Words living within not to be hidden

or tucked away

but meant to be spoken

or written

from the heart.

Riding the Wind

20171126_134538

Hey you know what? I’m having a great time writing, so thank you so much for being along for the ride!

This blog wouldn’t be any fun if it wasn’t for you! So thank you once again for your love and support.

I really love the diversity that can be found here. There are so many countries and ethnic groups that can be found. Awesome!

And I love where my work is right now, and I’m excited about where it’s going. “Coyote” and “Purple Dawn” were a bit of a breakthrough for me.

And I love your work! So let’s ride the wind together. Thanks again.

Where We Belong

100_1679

Within our oceans, we see so beautifully the earth, our future

as unlimited, and perhaps,

a small part of

where we fit,

where we belong.

I am continuing to write a lot, including a novel. Actually, I’ve started several but the most recent work is the most promising.

Writing is a surge within my life. Poetry for me is part of the life unseen, that flows through each of us.

And unfortunately right now, I think it is time to move on. I say this not because it was the plan. I believe I have no choice.

I have mentioned before that this site is being manipulated, by an outside source – so the heck with it. The site has been spiraling down.

I never enjoyed rebooting, or resending, a single piece of work out more than once. But it was the only way I could think of to save the site. It was a risk, but everything is a risk.

I know what this site has done in the past, and I have seen so wonderfully what this site can do if left alone.

But the damage is too great now. I meant it the other day – when I said the past few weeks have been a wild ride! That post was the beginning of saying goodbye.

I will try to remember times like that when I think of this blog.

My wife is not only a beautiful woman, and the love of my life, she has a great deal of wisdom.

She believes I should only take an extended break, then post once in a great while, sort of like Facebook. I doubt I can do that, right now I don’t want to see any blogs, anywhere.

For all those that have been supportive of this site, and many of you have been for a long time, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will always be grateful.

You can contact me by email: Nicodemasplusthree@gmail.com

I don’t really know where I belong, but apparently I’m not supposed to be here. I will keep writing though, someplace else.

I have one more post, which is more of a prayer than anything else.

Thank you again, I wish you peace.

Riding Wild Horses

from wallpaperstock

The past few weeks have been a wild ride! I’m having a great time writing, and I’m so grateful that you are with me on this journey.

My wings are extended like razors cutting through the frozen air, and my spirit is free! Every day I have some inspiration. Second to writing, I love photography. And the winter has not yet fully surrendered her beauty.

I do feel like I’m riding a fast horse, with the wind in my hair. I can’t thank you enough – so thank you!

A Slow Fade

100_5601

You probably haven’t noticed but many of my readers have done a slow fade. A slow fade is when a reader, is very much involved, but then gradually fades away, never to be seen again.

Part of this is certainly natural, as our world changes, blogs change, people change. But many have migrated to social media, leaving WordPress far behind.

And unfortunately, I believe my blog is being manipulated in horrible ways. Because of that I’m losing interest.

The weirdest thing is when someone comes to my site, and then I follow them – many disappear in a flash. What???

Being a very positive person, I have ignored it, and pushed through it for a long time.

I really enjoy writing, and I love where my poems are now, and where they are heading.

Lately though, blogging has not been as much fun. Perhaps I’ve even been depressed, and that’s unusual for me.

My latest poem published, “In the Dakota Winds” is certainly the darkest poem I have ever written. This bothers me a great deal. I don’t want negativity in my spirit.

I write all of this because I am considering doing a slow fade, or retiring altogether.

I ask for your prayers and positive thoughts.
