A Brighter Future

As I was walking yesterday a neighbor came out of her house, with her hands in the air yelling, “We have a new president!” I said yes we do!

And she walked around her front yard, yelling, praying, crying, all at the same time with eyes closed, saying, “Oh my God!”, Oh my God!”

And I began to realize how deep the scars have been over the past four years. And my friends, it hasn’t been one side just arguing with…

the other side and the result is the fighting going back and forth. No.

It has been the far right enabling a president’s lies, racism, denying climate change, attacking Dr. Fauci, a lack of coronavirus response,

and so many other wrongs, and the other side trying to stop it. Trying to protect our democracy, protect our people. Yet I can see a much brighter future now….

a future where we can actually be neighbors again. Suddenly I can hear Dr. Martin Luther King’s voice say, “I have a dream today….” “I have a dream.”

May it be so. May we declare freedom from the mountain tops.

Keep America Beautiful

Chinese-Americans are such a beautiful people aren’t they? And I love the African American side of my family,

and how we all make up such a beautiful fabric of our America. And the first people,

the Native Americans/First Nations giving us wings yet reminding us how hate can be deadly.

I’m glad we are strong in our diversity instead of some extremist far right concept, flirting

with white supremacy. And among their great sins comes the undermining of our election, sewing doubt.

This is what dictators do, so that they can declare it all invalid when they lose.

Stop the far right extremists, stop the lies, stop the brutality and insanity.

Keep America beautiful,

and free.

The Wind in the Willows

As the wind moves through the willow trees there is a redemption,

a washing of our minds and souls, as the leaves move gently

fluttering, speaking peace and calmness – and we realize,

there is no reason to worry, it’s time now

to let go, and to be lifted up.

The Day of Rest

And when the Creator saw everything that He had made, He saw that it was good. In fact, He saw that it was very good indeed. And this included the people created.

And the Creator rested from all His labors. This is how the Sabbath was made, a day to bring us freedom from working too much.

May you be rested and refreshed, whichever day you choose to be free from work.

I wish you peace.

“When we love people, we give them hope.”

Happy 4th of July!

“Where liberty dwells, there is my country.”

Ben Franklin

Happy 4th of July everyone! As America celebrates its freedom and independence, may we continue to work for freedom and peace, in our world. Ben Franklin was right, we should all live in a place, where liberty dwells.

Have a great week creating, and making our world a more beautiful place!

When Horses Dream

When horses dream they do not dream, about revenge against humans

never counting the wrongs suffered, or the pain of bridles, and bits.

But they do dream of running in open fields, without fences

hearts racing and teaching their young,

to live free.

The Archangel

As the Dark Knights pushed their way through the white clouds, the Swordsman looked up, and knew it would take more than a Swordsman to defeat them. He instantly raised his sword high as a beacon, calling for the Command Center to send extra help. His sword turned to fire and crackled with electricity, sending the signal heavenward.

As the Dark Knights saw him, they headed down in his direction. He saw each one had a name, an unholy name written on them. He saw, fear, despair, anger, violence, racism and many others.

Suddenly the sky exploded with a cracking sound, and lightning split it open. The singing of many choirs descended, and through the opening there was one single being, dressed in gold and white. He had long hair, and was carrying a sword and a golden shield.

The Swordsman ducked next to some large rocks, realizing the power of this being. The Archangel would make quick work of the Dark Knights. Without a word, the Archangel simply pointed his sword, and there was a crashing bolt of lightning, that split into a hundred different directions. And it was over that quick.

The people of the town saw and heard nothing, for this was a spiritual fight, in another dimension. But many smelled a burning smell they could not explain, and a few saw a strange dust in the air.

And the Swordsman just smiled and sheathed his sword, thinking this was yet another great victory against the forces that hated humanity. And why were the Dark Knights attacking?

The Swordsman had just freed a 14 year old, from an overdose…….of heroin…….
