We Healed Each Other

When we first met My Love, we not only fell in love, but for the first time

we accepted that we were loved. As if lightning struck us, we were dumbfounded

feeling now that we were somehow loveable. The truth sank deeply into

our spirits, and healing was established reigning in our lives.

So in a very real sense….. we healed each other, while

always thankful for the heavenly arrangement.

The Healer’s Award

Have you ever read a post or article that really stands out as encouraging, and bringing some much needed light into our world? I’m sure we all have, but in this day of division and strife, we need more writing on healing, and hope. And so many people groups need reconciliation.

And we need to recognize those that write this way. Whenever I think of bloggers that encourage us and infuse us, with positivity, I think of Erika Kind. And today when I read her latest, on the causes for hate and strife, I thought of this award to recognize bloggers with this very special gift of encouragement and healing.

I have never invented an award before. Now I know what you’re thinking. Nico, you don’t accept awards so why would you create one?

We really need hope and reconciliation in our world, and to recognize those who promote these ideas. I feel strongly about it.

So congratulations go to Erika Kind!

You can find her wonderful blog here: http://www.erikakind.me

What are the rules for this award? There are no rules.

Just nominate those bloggers who promote hope, healing, and reconciliation. You can use the photo above (cherry blossoms), or any image of flowers, which can be a wonderful symbol of hope and renewal!

Congratulations again Erika!

When we live in the trauma of the past, we can miss the beauty of a rose,

focusing instead – on the thorns. As we search the sky for answers

all we really need, is to see the beauty right next to us.

As our confidence returns, we begin

to let go of the emptiness

and we are filled

with a sense

of hope.

And that is when we can receive the healing, that was always meant for us.

Synchronized Healing

In the new world, just beyond the thin blue veil, oceans will wash us

with synchronized healing – again and again with the tides, until

all our of scars are erased, and every tear is dried

by the One who made us, and until

all of our wars have ceased,

deep inside.

On the Deck

On the deck he fell asleep, gently rocked by the waves

he was dreaming of wings fluttering, the gentle speech of angels

in his ear. What were they saying in their heavenly language?

A seagull rudely burst into his dream, and his eyes squinted open

as the bird squawked for more food, the engines began to roar.

He realized he had been praying moments before,

and as he drifted off again, a voice very clearly spoke,

in the space between waking and sleeping, between

now and eternity, somewhere in the gray

The voice said, “You can trust Me, even with this.”

Peace and blessings to everyone.

“When we love people, we give them hope.”

“Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.”

William Wordsworth

At times in our lives, some of us not only feel very alone, but we know there is no one, absolutely no one, that will embrace us. And we can easily enter into despair.

But in addition to supplying food, and natural resources, nature and the beauty that it holds, will bring healing if we let it. Perhaps more importantly, nature leads us to the idea that we were made, along with everything else in nature. There is a design.

And nature can lead us to not only feeling embraced, but can show us the reality that we are embraced. And that is a very good thing indeed.

Have a great week everyone!

Healing in the Desert

The desert doesn’t say much when we listen,

living in the barren, we need to hear our own

heartbeat, our own need for healing,

and to discover that we can move

beyond the desert, finding

the stream within.

And eventually there is a flower –

that blooms, perhaps

from the heart

of a cactus.

We Press On

In the midst of the battle there is still an ocean

the rythym of the waves

a place where we focus on the horizon

sky meets water endless, our minds

are unfrozen, and we know –

in the deep, the deeper still

there will be peace

in the end.

But for now

we press on

the unlimited.

And that is how

we win.
