After the Storm

And after the storm we know more of peace don’t we?

As if the rain had drawn us in, to a quiet depth within

our spirits, our hearts filled

with deer in the deep forest

and leaves gently moving,

still holding

the rain drops.

Simple beauty can lift us

taking us beyond, yet reaching in

touching gently our deepest

wounds, anointing our spirits

within quiet streams

or encouraging words

from a friend.

Until we believe again

that our lives do matter.

The Window of Our Dimension

Oceans 641

When the window of our dimension closes, and our sky begins to fall

we long for the purple descending, and flashing swords to get rid of the dark knight,

a violent conclusion to the blackness. But all we really needed were some kind words

from a friend, to open our window, our eyes to see, and return our supernatural vision.

Encouragement will always be our best weapon, and our best gift

to each other. Living free in order to give.

Strength.

Drinking In

Mountains and Rivers 401

Drinking from the source we draw closer to each other

letting go, yet reaching for the core, eyes seeing

horizontally. We can see the colors pulling

together, adding life to the grey,

and freeing us from the thoughts

of our own tyrants, allowing us

to be one with ourselves,

and with each other,

spirits flowing part of

the whole, we are

immersed in the flow

from deep down

and the captive

set free.

What a wonderful poet she was! She was American born, and had a way of looking inward, at the heart, and the soul. When she did look inward she often found gold, and shared that great beauty with us.

To be honest this is probably the most beautiful way to describe hope, that I have ever heard. Hope within us has wings, which means it is alive. The illustration here is that it is like a bird, living and dwelling, even if it is on a temporary perch. I am stunned with the line, “sings the tune without words”. In other words we don’t know, or understand how deep this wonderful hope goes. It is so deep, one cannot describe it, it is beyond words.

And it is ongoing. It never ends, because it is alive within the person, and perhaps beyond. I find these words so beautiful, and fulfilling, I wonder if I should write anything about them at all. But I wanted to share their great beauty with you.

The Reluctant Warrior

Oceans 2031

No one ever told him,

he would need the mountains,

the wholeness and healing,

of peace,

the Creator breathing.

No one ever told him,

there would be explosions,

tearing the sky,

battles raging, bloodied swords,

his Queen imploding.

He fights on,

only because he has to,

he would rather live in a tree,

sleep on some rocks,

while the sky is healed, by clean water.

He picks up his sword anyway,

the shield,

armed with words,

and a clean heart,

he fights.

No turning back,

no confession of cowards,

He will live, in the mountains,

because the mountains live,

in him.

Clouds

Oceans 135

When I see the clouds,

parting for the sun, moving,

for the light,

I know that I am real,

head for reasoning,

walking farther, with lungs,

hearing with my heart,

beyond the mountains.

I know of a man,

who never knew love,

until he found her,

opening his eyes to the gold,

and the Creator.

And when he writes,

he pushes the clouds,

to the side, not listening,

when people laugh,

or critique his theology.

He will love anyway,

he will write to the sky,

and to her,

to see her smile again.
