Men of Compassion

True Stength

We need some men in this world,

men who know how to teach,

their sons how to respect, and to be faithful,

instead of abusing women,

instead of being consumed,

with their V8 engines,

men who care about the earth,

and take care of her,

instead of only their wallets,

worrying about new taxes,

We need some men, to care about people,

are they only a part of history?

Where have they gone?

Where are the men?

who can see into the universe,

speak like prophets,

and write with fire!

We need to turn off the stupid TV,

and stand up for people,

regardless, of their color,

or which candle they decide to light.

We need to wake up,

stand up, or shut up.

Get a heart men,

and have compassion.

Note: I include myself in this. All too often we are complacent, and apathetic. True compassion means taking action. And I have seen many times where women are hurt – by men.

So what do you do when there is no more hunting? How do you provide for your family? These are just some of the issues faced by the Native American men, of the past. When I see these photographs though, I see amazing inner strength! These men teach me and inspire me. They tell me that no matter what issue I am facing, nothing can change who I am! Internally I am to keep fighting! What ever you may face – never give up.
