Even the Sun Surrenders

20170609_205848

Even the sun surrenders to the night,

as young lovers dream of colors streaming

through fountains,

and ducks nestle into their feathers,

while frogs take over the serenade.

A cloudless sky prepares

for the victory of fireflies

while the lake embraces

the reflection of stars

and the moon,

those softer lights.

Lake Peace

100_5552

I love the wind whipping, rippling the over the water

as I walk in the early autumn, searching the mountains,

the sky covering us, with clouds rolling over,

I sigh and pray, knowing the peace

even more now, and

being filled beyond

any language,

with the wind whipping, rippling

over the water.
