When Our Spirits are Refreshed

When our spirits are refreshed we make better warriors,

not only will our weapons be stronger, but our shields

of peace will never fail, in the midst

of the battle raging.

Standing Still

Lighthouses never really answer our calling

our yearning, for answers against the tide

searching the horizon for the meaning of our pain.

But somehow they do offer hope, simply standing

strong against the wind, never leaning

not shattered, but offering the light

in the fog. Perhaps we don’t really need

our answers, but simply strength

for standing still.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

Flame Keepers

Maine and More 353

So many lighthouses are symbolic now,

never really offering the light,

the keeper of the light isn’t there,

living the flame.

Novels will not be written there,

or on the ships, secret loves disappearing,

we are simply too busy, to write.

Flame keepers still roam the earth though,

hiding their lights, until the right time,

most of the keepers now, blogging, and shining,

showing us, there is at least one more,

story to tell, or a poem to move the heart.

Keep the flame burning.

The Window of the Lighthouse

Vacation 248

Through the window of the lighthouse,

you can see the strength,

the unyielding soul born to fight,

and that there is hope.

The light still works,

in the daytime,

calling us to rest,

to receive the calm of the ocean,

and to let go.

The window is to bring in,

the greater light,

and to reveal the end of the storm,

to say the words of peace,

to the heart of a seagull.

Trust the power,

of light being revealed,

in the strength of a rock,

bringing service,

and compassion to people.

Look through the window.

Blessings to everyone and peace!

“If you love nature, you will love people.”
