Dr. Martin Luther King

from pbs

We have slipped, somewhat fallen away from his vision,

may we be restored,

may we return to the fire

seeking equality

for one,

and for all.

God thank You for the life and work of Dr. King.

Amen.

“Darkness can’t drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate can’t drive out hate; only love can do that.”

“We have before us the glorious opportunity to inject a new dimension of love into the veins of our civilization.”

Dr. Martin Luther King

May God give us the courage, and the humility

to stand up to hatred in our world today

and to be the love

we so desperately need.

Some say prophets were only for long ago

but there have always been those that speak

for what is right, never popular.

Thank you Dr. King for using your voice,

for having the courage to change our world

so that all of humanity will hopefully be treated,

as humans.

May we carry your work with us

and beyond.
