Blue and Green

Oceans 184

My favorite colors are blue,

and green, the sea can be green,

the sky and ocean,

different shades of blue,

always reminding me,

of who I am, and where,

I belong.

A green meadow,

covered by the blue,

in the shadow of the mountains,

will always be my favorite place,

will always remind me,

of You,

and where I belong,

here on earth,

living in the green,

covered by the blue.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

Afternoon Reflection

Maine and More 285

As the afternoon sun,

gently reflects on the ocean,

as sparkles dance on the surface,

I think of you, and our love.

Once our love was so brilliant,

we could see nothing else,

danger of intensity,

consumed with each other.

With time, sun still bright,

yet knowing there was a horizon,

more under the surface,

life in the depths,

the pain of the storms,

and yet stronger,

two people rowing,

in the same direction,

stronger than the one.

And now the sun is softer,

yet the love is deeper,

never a sun setting,

but sparkles,

dancing on the ocean,

pointing us,

to the horizon.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

One Flag One Country

Maine and More 393

The Conferderacy was defeated,

again yesterday,

some will always have the sin,

of pride,

the poison of hate, below,

the surface.

But healing has started,

let it pour, and rain down,

from heaven.

One flag, instead of two,

one country,

one people,

different, yet equal.

Thanks God,

we needed this.

Note: This in reference to the Confederate flag being taken down, in South Carolina. Thank God. Now the fight goes to Florida.

Peace to everyone.

The Waterfall

Mountains and Rivers 394

Where is my waterfall?

my soul made of sand,

searches,

with cactus bleeding.

Is there no relief?

no refreshing for me?

are You hiding,

behind the veil?

Your light is barely seen,

in the early morning, summer fog.

Do You hear me when I call out?

Then He said,

My son,

You have always had a waterfall,

you just didn’t believe it,

stretch out your hands,

and be refreshed.

Be at peace now.

Peace to everyone.

Our Family Tree

Mountains and Rivers 200

Many, many, years ago,

you and I were related,

same roots growing,

firmly planted, as we lived,

in the earth.

When we discover,

our family tree, there’s no room,

for prejudice.

And the colors?

just adding to the beauty,

different trees, shapes, and colors,

coming from the one.

Nature teaching us,

once again.

Peace to everyone.

One Hundred Bears

Maine and More 075

One hundred bears, couldn’t keep me away,

from the journey, from the blending,

of mind, and chrysanthemums,

of lungs filled, with sunshine,

always calling out for more.

I needed this walk today,

with You,

straightening out my vision,

strengthening my bones,

rain washing,

creating,

a new man,

feet,

in the earth,

and in the clouds,

where I belong.

Your Eyes Were Softer

Maine and More 160

Do you remember the cabin?

on the lake, your eyes were softer,

holding the light there,

to share, as you turned to me,

answers instead of questions,

saying there would always be,

love in the house, our souls,

like balloons,

lifting us,

taking us away,

and landing us safely,

softly, in a field with flowers,

green caressing our feet,

your eyes were softer,

by the lake.

Do you remember?

In the Mist

Mountains and Rivers 286

There are still answers, in the mist,

calling out stops the echoes,

of our mind, no way to be sure,

of jumbled thoughts, misled teachers.

In the mist,

there is only,

the comfort of desperation,

sweating through the storm, quietly,

gripping,

the ladder,

climbing, higher,

letting go of the candy,

no need to see,

only to trust.

The mist teaches us,

to know anyway,

the answers are in, the questions,

and hearing,

is in the calling out.

Note: This is inspired by Rumi type of poetry.

Early Morning Dunes

Old Photos 127

Seagulls barely awake,

and you call to me,

we dress quietly,

and slip out the door,

too late for the sunrise,

not too late for solitude.

Our two souls on the beach,

absorbing, the energy,

of the moment,

like the first humans,

meditating, on the power,

of waves,

grateful, to be here,

two together,

as we embrace,

in the early morning dunes.

Looking Beyond the Power

Oceans 270

Looking beyond the power,

we can get a glimpse….

For the young, waves,

are meant to be conquered,

body surfing,

go underneath!

holding their breath,

the wave passing over.

On a distant beach,

young lovers, discover each other,

as waves bring,

the rythym of the earth, stars,

dropping kisses.

To parents waves are dangerous,

holding the baby’s hand,

for dear life,

ankles barely touching,

cherishing her safety.

How do waves become,

something more, when we get older?

When we look beyond the power,

we can get a glimpse,

of eternity.
