Calling

Oceans 2031

Seeking the highest rocks,

the deepest rivers, the trees,

answers without words,

oneness of spirit,

flowing.

But the curse of the seeker,

is loneliness,

wanting a heart called Lakota,

tied in with the heartbeat,

seeing cathedrals,

clouds for walking on.

Living in the valley he learns,

painful lessons,

and joy, with love,

always looking though,

to the west.

to the loneliness,

of the mountains.

The Flowers Will Still Bloom

Mountains and Rivers 056

When I am gone,

the flowers will still bloom,

people will still question the sky,

asking why,

is there sun and rain?

will there be an end?

I know there will be peace,

I just know,

but in the meantime,

all we can do is be a rock,

a healer, for someone else,

and along the way,

enjoy the flowers,

when they bloom.

Farming

Growing Up and More 095

No one is going to take this land,

from me,

etched in my heart,

with the sweat of blood,

hands bleeding, callous,

living in the weather,

every day and night,

cold and heat.

If I have to work more,

than 17 hours each day,

warfare with the plow,

I will.

Breathing for generations,

mud and alfalfa,

the oneness of the earth,

I will live and die here,

no one will take it.

And the government?

If they try one more time,

to put me out of business,

I will raise flowers instead,

no food, and you can bury me,

in the tulips.

This is my land.

This is told in the first person, but I am not a farmer.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

Blue and Green

Oceans 184

My favorite colors are blue,

and green, the sea can be green,

the sky and ocean,

different shades of blue,

always reminding me,

of who I am, and where,

I belong.

A green meadow,

covered by the blue,

in the shadow of the mountains,

will always be my favorite place,

will always remind me,

of You,

and where I belong,

here on earth,

living in the green,

covered by the blue.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

Afternoon Reflection

Maine and More 285

As the afternoon sun,

gently reflects on the ocean,

as sparkles dance on the surface,

I think of you, and our love.

Once our love was so brilliant,

we could see nothing else,

danger of intensity,

consumed with each other.

With time, sun still bright,

yet knowing there was a horizon,

more under the surface,

life in the depths,

the pain of the storms,

and yet stronger,

two people rowing,

in the same direction,

stronger than the one.

And now the sun is softer,

yet the love is deeper,

never a sun setting,

but sparkles,

dancing on the ocean,

pointing us,

to the horizon.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

One Flag One Country

Maine and More 393

The Conferderacy was defeated,

again yesterday,

some will always have the sin,

of pride,

the poison of hate, below,

the surface.

But healing has started,

let it pour, and rain down,

from heaven.

One flag, instead of two,

one country,

one people,

different, yet equal.

Thanks God,

we needed this.

Note: This in reference to the Confederate flag being taken down, in South Carolina. Thank God. Now the fight goes to Florida.

Peace to everyone.

The Waterfall

Mountains and Rivers 394

Where is my waterfall?

my soul made of sand,

searches,

with cactus bleeding.

Is there no relief?

no refreshing for me?

are You hiding,

behind the veil?

Your light is barely seen,

in the early morning, summer fog.

Do You hear me when I call out?

Then He said,

My son,

You have always had a waterfall,

you just didn’t believe it,

stretch out your hands,

and be refreshed.

Be at peace now.

Peace to everyone.
