My 3rd Biggest Blogging Secret

100_1487

Life is an adventure! And one of the best ways to express the love and beauty of this adventure, is through photographs.

I almost always use my own photographs and this is another blogging secret of mine. I love photography!

I have a great number of photos and it saves me a HUGE amount of time, to plant one into a post rather than searching

the internet. I use to search for photos and it took me forever to find the right one! So no more.

And sometimes I’ll write a poem, and already be thinking about the photograph to plug in.

If you missed my first 2 blogging secrets, the first was to invest in other bloggers and their sites.

It takes work but it’s well worth it! And #2 was to be hopeful and encouraging!

By the way I need a new camera, so if you have any suggestions, let me know.

Have a great time blogging!

In His Reflection by the Creek

100_5342

Snow and ice crunching under his boots, and a strange gray reflection

rippling across the creek, with deer tracks on the other side.

He paused, zipping up his coat a little further,

watching the trees bend.

He remembered traveling through time

hunting for visions with bows

wearing buckskin

and an occasional feather,

but it was long ago

on horseback,

so instead, in his reflection

by the creek,

he took some pictures.

Revelation

100_1053

Rivers, one of nature’s ways of filling us with awe,

the silence of peace

nourishing our spirits with refreshing

from above, healing

and giving us strength and the audacity

to believe in love, the value

of each of us, here

on the earth.

A revelation really

that we are connected.

We Find Ourselves Connected

20170317_130614

Our tragedies don’t always make us better warriors,

don’t always make us stronger

having our wings singed,

and faith pulled forcibly from our hearts.

But we do become more human

as we see our brothers

our sisters, struggling

somehow

we know the scars

as we find ourselves connected

in the fight.
