Looking to the Horizon

100_1412

Peace is not always the river running through our veins,

nor the hope of clouds moving away from the sun,

but peace always reaches out and within

at the same time, fully accepting

who we are, with our feet

planted firmly, looking

to the horizon.

Dreams of the Sea

100_1618

Small boats, and some with sails, never let go

of their dreams for freedom, looking for the next horizon

to capture the wind and to send us,

farther than we dreamed.

When It’s Time

my-oceans

When it’s time for our spirits to let go of our bodies,

it will be very much like the oceans, as we will live gently

on the surface, with the eternity of the waves

and endless horizons will live

forever, inside of us.

The Last Buoy

Maine and More 122

It was the last buoy that gave him hope

meant they would soon be out to sea

where he could put behind him

the heartbreak of the earth,

the crushing sense

that nothing would change.

His spirit wanted the freedom,

wanted to witness the miracle

with his own eyes

of each new sun,

the birth

and the truth

that there was hope,

but only in a world

where humans

are visitors,

and dolphins

rule the kingdom.

It was the perfect place

for writing.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

“When we love people, we give them hope.”

Acceptance

Oceans 183

In the oceans of our opinions,

in the stormy seas of our rhetoric,

there is never any healing,

for those stranded at sea,

for those with sails burning,

the horizon is lost.

The hurting don’t need,

an email, some policy,

from distant talking heads,

they need a live person,

a human being,

to say to them, you matter,

that you have value,

that they you are loved and,

accepted.

Everyone should be welcomed in our ships,

where the sails,

have been restored,

and the horizon shines,

brightly with hope.
