The Intensity of Your Light

With the intensity of your light, we enfolded into each other

sitting on the park bench.

We sat there remembering our journey

as you placed your hand in mine,

I gently caressed your face

you tucked your head into my shoulder,

your prayer for me.

Do you remember the azaleas?

Note: This is about a couple encouraging each other, through chronic illness.

The Window Over the Bay

Window on the Bay

As I look out the window My Love, I can see our reflection in the water

shimmering, as the sun smiles, as if heaven does care,

whether we are happy.

My Love, we have found each other

our two souls moving beyond

the surface floating,

yet tangibly together,

you and I.

Note this was written about an anniversary get away, and based on a poem posted July, 2016

Walking Through This

My Love, as we stand with our noses and foreheads touching,

eyes closed, let me hold you again, we can join hands

and pray, that we will have the strength

and the compassion to keep going

our arms supporting one another.

We can walk through this

but only together.

And we hope the mourning will be over soon. Let us all join hands and hearts.

Note: This is about mourning nationally, and internationally, but can apply to any sense of mourning.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

The Path

Vacation 293

Somewhere, maybe halfway,

between the hawk flying over my shoulder,

and gliding through the angry clouds,

I found the courage to accept,

who I am,

realized I was free,

writing, a few lines,

nature healing, the best of me.

Always thankful,

for your faithful hand in mine,

walking this way, and through the woods,

seeing each other,

reflecting our faces in the lake,

in spite of the mist.

However long we have on the earth,

I pray we can always walk,

this path together.

Blessings to everyone and peace!

“If you love nature, you will love people.”

A Hug is a Prayer

hugging bw

Hugging in the morning,

before we get out of bed,

a prayer,

of gratitude, for another day,

with you, a silent thank you,

for your love.

If I am home, hugging in the middle of the day,

and a back rub,

makes all the difference,

pushes back the doubt,

strengthens the faith,

makes constant the spark,

plays the music within.

Walking in the afternoon,

with hands holding,

sharing, dreaming,

breathing the same air,

increasing the nature,

growing within,

the realization of who we are,

as people.

At the dinner table,

the same hands touch,

in another prayer.

Sometimes touching is all I need,

to know the truth,

to know you care,

to know He cares.

And then at night,

in the same bed, in the silence,

holding each other,

a thousand things are said,

without words.

We have confidence,

and we both know,

that all is right with the universe.

Blessings to everyone and PEACE!

“If you love nature, you will love people.”
